Casablanca’s eight-ply construction uses six layers
of wood in a cross-laminated pattern for extra strength
and resistance to warping.
The
two outside layers are real furniture grade wood veneers.
Other
manufacturers often use cheaper materials in construction
and finishing, including pressed fiberboard or plywood,
with imitation, photo graphic paper overlays that attempt
to simulate real wood finishes.
